There hasn't been a lot of attention to narcissistic personality disorder until recently - and so many people don't realize how hurtful it can be when a parent has it. Yes, parents should give unconditional love. I'm sorry for those who never had it and must struggle to heal from it. I'm glad there's shorthand for it, whether ACE or just saying you're a survivor of narcissistic parents.
