I am going to share this with several people I know who I think will benefit from it. Thank you for writing it. You speak so eloquently about such dark moments. I wonder what might have happened if the person who reported it DID reach out to you — what could he/she have said to help? I don’t always think they tell the police because they don’t care; they may not know what to do or say. But at least they could have tried.
